Home Sweet Home
We have officially moved and are living in Orem. We finally unpacked all the boxes but we are still putting things away. The landlord has been working on little things here and there and so we haven't been able to really move in all our stuff and put things away until the past few days. We are beat and tired of trying to figure where things should be hung on the walls. I forgot how unpacking is such a project! But, we are really enjoying having our own space again and we've never had so much of it before it is really kind of nice. Here are just a few pictures:
Two Words...
HOLY CRAP!
Today is March 30th not December 30th and this is what we woke up to! Ahwwww! We even started riding our bikes again this week and now we are going to have to wait out a few days for the weather to get sunny again. And of course as soon as Chase went outside he went swimming in the snow...he is hilarious! We could barely get him to come back into the house. :) I am so ready for good, warm weather! Who's with me?
By the way, this is our new back yard. It is really nice being able to let Chase out and not have to tie him up or worry about him running off. There is plenty of room for him to run like crazy. I think he is missing his best friends Jack and Gizmo but he is coping. He likes "his" new back yard but I bet he had his friends to share it with.
Sunday Hikes
Living at my parents house we did not have a lot of time to get Chase out during the week so we really tried to get him out on Sunday walks. Sometimes at the park and other times in the mountains. If it were just me I would just take him on normal walks down streets but I married a very adventurous man and he loves to be in the mountains and he loves to take Chase up there and just let him run around as they hike. Lucky me I get to tag along, it is always a lot of fun. Here are a couple pictures of our last hike in Centeville:

My Opinion of the A.I.
I do think that it is funny that they say each year is the best year ever...but I do really like this year because I think they have people who are actually original. So this is my break down of the top 12....
My loves:
I really like him but he makes me nervous...he always seems to pull it off though. I also think that he is pretty enough to be a women.
I am a big fan of Brookes. At first her hair killed me but it has grown on me. I just really like her.
David is my Favorite. But he really butchered it last week. I hope he can work it out and win this thing. For being so young I think his voice is awesome.
My Dark horses:

I think that these guys are really good. I don't think they have really broken through yet...but when they do watch out!
People who are really good I could just really care less... for some reason I just haven't really "connected" with them:

Last but not least...
Who I think should have been gone yesterday...

And who I think went too early:

As you can see I am a much bigger fan of hte boys this year than the girls. I just think they are better. Tune in on Tuesday...

On Our Own Again!
Well...Almost! We signed a contact for a house in Orem. We are very excited! It is actually just the upstsirs...3 bed/2 bath. The down stairs has four bedrooms so the owners are tearing out one of the bedrooms and making it a kitchen and in April or May we will get down stairs neighbors...any takers:). But, for now it will just be us. It has a fully fenced back yard that is really big for Chase. That is what really sold us on it. Oh and we have windows in all the rooms which is something you don't get by living in apartments your entire married life. Anyways...It is still getting new carpet put in and some final touches so we are hoping to be in at the end of next week. Even though we will not be living with my parents we will have an extra bedroom and we let them know that we can be their once a month get-a-way! :)
Pictures to come later.

Check out this Awesomeness

Here is another good read I was informed about. My friend, Shawn at work, told me to read it and that it was really good. I was like whatever man, sure. He said he would let me borrow his book, so I was like whatever man, sure. So I ended up starting it, and guess what.... it was really good. In fact I liked it so muchI went and bought my own! When I bought it I went ahead and bought the second book in the trilogy, Eldest, too. I just finished Eldest and man the last 150 pages are awesome. The movie doesn't do the book justice as most movies never are as good as the book, but we all know that, so don't judge the book by the movie.
So now I sit and anxiously await the arrival of the third and "supposedly" last book in the trilogy BRISNGR, which means FIRE in the ancient language of the elves. Although, I have to admit I've gotten on some Eragon forums and the rumor is the author is going to split this book into two so there will be another after this one. How sweet is that? Even if there isn't a fourth Brisngr is supposed to be 896 bills of pure reading fulfillment. Needless to say I've preorded the book. And since I work at DHL and I'm getting it off of Amazon, maybe it will come in a day or two early and I can get it before it even comes out. How cool is that?
Anyways everyone should read this. It's so good that I struck a deal with Nici that if she would read The Inheritance Trilogy I would read that Twlight crap. It's that good guys.

Winter Rides
This winter in Utah we have been hit hard with cold, snowy weahter, but we didn't let that stop us. When the sun shines we hit the road. I have been on a few more rides than Nic, but we both have gone out braving the cold a few times this winter. We can't wait for the warmer weather to hit. Once it hits the 50's I think we will be pretty pumped to hit the hills. I know we have more pictures but I could only find these two nerdy ones of me. We really have to layer up to keep warm! We did buy an indoor trainer this year though. It's pretty sweet. I've used it maybe six or seven times and I could tell a difference when I went out on the road. I will try and find pics of it later and post them.
Check me out in my sweet tights. Those were a xmas present from Nici and I love them, they are really warm and do a good job fighting the wind.

Kicking off the Cycling season
The '08 cycling season is under way, which I am pretty excited for. There are a few new teams that are going to be really good. Discovery Channel (Lance Armstrong's old team) is gone and the stars of that team have spread themselves out into these new teams. Doping is still talked about all the time, but everyone seems to think this year we will see cleaner teams and less investigations. It has come to the point where the Tour de France organizers aren't even letting in a team (Team Astana) to race in the Tour this year because of a huge dope ring where the whole team was kicked out of the race last year. To bad Astana has last year's Tour de France winner, Alberto Contador, and 3rd place finisher, Levi Leipheimer, and another top dog, Andre Kloeden, who won't be allowed to race cause of the boneheads last year that messed everything up for that team. I'm bummed Levi, who is American, won't be in the tour cause he really has a good shot at winning it this year, but at the same time this is good cause it shows that the race organizers of any race won't be tolerating doping at all anymore.

My new favorite team is team Slipstream/ Chipotle.

They are an American team and have kind of taken the place of Discovery. I hope they do well. They have gotten a ton of great riders for this year, like David Millar, Dave Zabriskie, Christian Vandevalde, Mangus Backstedt, Tom Danielson, and Tyler Farrar (who is said to be the best young American rider). All these guys have placed high overall in big races or have won races and stages in races like the Tour de France and Giro di Italia. They have already done awesome in the first few races of this year. The Tour of California, which is this week, will be big for them. In fact, Tyler Farrar is in second overall. I hope he can win a few bonus points in today's stage to pass Cancellara who is only two seconds ahead of him. That means Tyler Farrar will be the leader of the race, which would be really cool for this new team, cause the ToC is stacked with good riders this year. Here are just some random photos I found of the team:
Just a picture of Stage One of the ToC with a Slipostream rider in the front of the peloton.
This is Dave Zabriskie. He has worn the leaders jersey in the Tour de France, former teammate of Lance Armstron, and he's from SLC.

This is David Millar. The reason his jersey is different is cause he is the British National Champion so he gets to wear a special jersey in his races. He is one of my favorite riders. He also has won stages in the TdF. He writes a sweet blog for bicycling.com too if you ever want to check it out.
